Intelligent Fields

FreeQMS is built by QA people for QA people.

One of the most aggravating parts of traditional EQMS implementation is the "back-end" configuration of special fields on forms. Forms have to be set up in a secret area, and then users are locked into interacting with pre-set menus, that never quite have what they want.

FreeQMS changes this by using the same technology found elsewhere on your favorite websites, while remaining compliant. The forms in FreeQMS are already made. We avoid confusing check boxes, menus, and back-end set up.

Automatic Field Suggestions

FreeQMS reduces data entry by suggesting entries already present in the system.

Figure 1 at the right shows the creation of a User Task with a system drop down menu suggesting system users.

FreeQMS users are never limited to these suggestions - text may always be manually entered.

Intelligent Module Interactions

Interactions between modules are automatic.

Figure 2 shows a user creating an Audit record. Suppliers entered in the Supplier module are automatically available to be selected as the Auditor or Auditee.

Users can select Suppliers to fulfill functions in the Audit module, and Supplier contracts, addresses, and more are already suggested.

Task System that Works

The FreeQMS task system allows users to find tasks they assigned to other users, check their status, and follow up if necessary.

Other systems show a task to the assignee, but do not track tasks for the assignor. This makes follow-up difficult, and short of running a manual report, often impossible to track down open tasks. Not with FreeQMS.

Figure 3 at the right shows the Tasks I Assigned to Others tab of the Task Center.

Long-gone are the days of duplicate manual form entry. This smart system is built from the ground up to save time.

You shouldn't have to be an IT person to use an EQMS. You shouldn't need to spend hours compromising between confusing menus or limited choice fields to design a form that works.
